The Military Institute of Science and Technology, people calls it  MIST. The Military Institute of Science and Technology, or MIST for short, is a reputed institute of engineering education in Bangladesh, located in Mirpur Cantonment. It was established in 1996 by the Government of Bangladesh to study BSc Engineering for Bangladesh Army officers. Basically educational activities conduct from the departments of Civil Engineering, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering but later other new departments were opened. It was merged with Bangladesh University of Professionals in 2006, before MIST was affiliated with Dhaka University. In the past only military officers participated, but since 2002, civilian students have had the opportunity to study here by participating in admission tests.

Form February 07 admission from submission’s started and it was going on 01 March.  Mist authority published Primary selection list  who are eligible for written exam on 07 March.  the written exam will held in university campus on 13 March according to Mist website. As Mist offer’s only engineering subject degree. A list of subject given below and students can take his BSC degree form those subject.  Civil Engineering,  Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering, B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc in Aeronautical Engineering,   and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Beside those  Civil, Environment, Water and Coastal Engineering, Architecture are also available. Mist offer Nuclear  Engineering, Biomedical Engineering,  Petroleum & Mining Engineering,  Industrial Production Engineering too.

After interview admission start April fist week. Every year Mist offer a few students BSC degree. The number of this students not more than 600 hundred in 12 subject and divided in two unit.
